Philodendron Selloum 'Lickety Split'
10” pot 3’ tall Philodendron Selloum shown
Philodendron Selloum or Tree Philodendron makes a big statement, literally, with leaves that can reach up to 4 feet long.
LIGHT: This plant prefers medium light, but can tolerate lower light. In lower light the leaves turn a darker green; direct sun or too much light burns or fades the leaves. Rotate the plant often so it grows evenly and doesn’t bend towards the light.
WATER: Unlike other philodendrons, the selloum likes moist but not soggy soil. During the winter, water less often, keeping the soil barely moist.
FERTILIZER: Feed monthly during the spring, summer, and fall with a water-soluble balanced fertilized diluted to 1/2 the recommended strength. Too much plant food causes excess salt build up in the soil and can cause leaf burn.
Contactless delivery available in SF, Oakland, Emeryville, Berkeley, Albany and Alameda. Free for orders over $30. $10 delivery fee for elsewhere in the Bay. Pick ups can be arranged in West Oakland.
