The adorable, Opuntia microdasys, ‘Bunny Ears Cactus’ has flat fleshy pads covered in glochids, short white or yellow brown bristles. This plant looks soft and fuzzy, but be careful—the glochids can stick you if touched. Always use gloves when handling the cactus. Eventually, this cute little plant can reach up to two feet tall.
LIGHT: Lots of sunlight. Bright direct or indirect light is best. Less sunlight is needed during the winter.
WATER: Let the soil dry out halfway between watering. Water every 3 or so weeks during the winter.
